ONE FC will be crowning their inaugural flyweight champion at ONE FC 20: Rise of the Kingdom, the promotion’s debut in Cambodia. The two combatants squaring off will be Brazilian Adriano Moraes (11-1) and Filipino Geje Eustaquio (6-2).
The 25 year old, Adriano “Black Diamond” Moraes has won back-to-back bouts in ONE FC following his debut split decision loss to Yusup Saadulaev. Moraes defeated Yasuhiro Urushitani at ONE FC 14, and Kosuke Suzuki at ONE FC 17—both by submission.
His opponent, also 25 years old, Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio trains out of Lakay MMA and has a chance to bring ONE FC gold back to the camp. Eustaquio has achieved a record of 3-1 inside ONE FC, first defeating Alex Silva at ONE FC 2. But suffered a minor set back when he lost to Andrew Leone at ONE FC 9. However the Filipino bounced back nicely by winning back to back decisions over Eugene Toquero (ONE FC 14) and Kentaro Watanabe (ONE FC 17).
It was announced during the broadcast of ONE FC 17: Era of Champions, that the winner of the two featured flyweight bouts would be fighting for the inaugural flyweight title at a later date–now ONE FC 20.
ONE FC 20 is set to take place at the Koh Pich Theatre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on September 12, 2014. The flyweight title bout will headline the event.
