Ana Julaton tapped for scrap with Irina Mazepa

MMA fighter and boxer Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton made a big step in her career after she picked up her first professional win over Aya Saeid Saber at ONE FC 15: Rise of Heroes in what was a grueling contest. Now she finds herself being the one to welcome a fighter to the pro ranks.

According to reports, Julaton will face Russian fighter Irina Mazepa at ONE FC 19: Reign of Champions on Aug. 29 at Dubai World Trade Center.

This match should be quite the slug fest that could last the entire fight – assuming one of these competitors don’t finish the fight beforehand. Julaton picked up several accolades and honors during her professional and amateur boxing run, including WBO and IBA super bantamweight world titles.

As for Mazepa, she is a six-time wushu world champion as well as a K-1 World Champion.  Although she doesn’t have any professional MMA experience, her striking will be an asset to her while she develops her grappling skills – which she may need to do as she progresses through her career if she wants to achieve her goal of being a world champion.

Although both fighters’ MMA careers are in their infancy, this fight could determine who could be a future face for ONE FC.
