Joan Jett loves Ronda Rousey using her song

Rock ‘n’ roll icon Joan Jett doesn’t give a damn that UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey is using her song “Bad Reputation” to walk out to the cage. Actually, she is thrilled about it.

In an interview with AXS TV at the Alternative Press Music Awards, Jett said she is amazing when people use her music as a way to represent themselves and their craft.

“I think it’s so great she walks out to (my song),” Jett said.

Rousey has been walking out to “Bad Reputation” since her Strikeforce days. Being a fan of Jett and The Runaways – the band she was a part of before she went solo – the Rowdy one’s use of the song tugged at my heartstrings at both the fight fan and the music fan in me. Combined with that focused look she has on her face as she walks to the octagon makes Rousey’s entrance one of the most fun walk outs in the UFC.
