Just an hour before Bellator 122 is set to begin, one of the preliminary bouts on the card has been cancelled.
A scheduled heavyweight fight between Manny Lara (4-4) and Dmitriy Sosnovskiy (8-0) has been removed according to Bellator’s PR, due to Lara being ill and unable to compete.
As a result, Sosnovskiy will be paid his show and win money.

The undefeated Dmitriy Sosnovskiy was set to make his Bellator debut, but will now be on hold for a later date.
The Reign MMA trained fighter, Manny Lara had been winless in his four Bellator bouts. Most recently suffering a no-contest due to an accidental eye poke at Bellator 110–in a bout that lasted just 18 seconds.
Bellator 122 is scheduled to take place at the Pechanga Rsoet and Casino in Temecula, California. Headlined by a welterweight tournament final between Andrey Koreshkov and Adam McDonough. Instead of 12 bouts on the card, there will now be 11, and 7 prelims instead of 8.
