Max Holloway Replaces Chan Sung Jung, Faces Akira Corassani at UFC Stockholm

Fresh off a third round TKO victory this past weekend at UFC Fight Night 49, Max Holloway already has a new scheduled opponent for his next featherweight bout. Stepping in for the injured “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, Holloway will face Akira Corassani in the co-main event at UFC Fight Night 53 in Stockholm on October 4th.

The 22 year old, Max “Blessed” Holloway (10-3) will be competing in his 10th career UFC bout, he currently holds a record of  6-3 in the promotion. The Hawaiian’s latest victory over Clay Collard extended his win streak to three straight–including wins over Will Chope and Andre Fili.

Holloway will be going into enemy territory to face the Swede, Akira Corassani (12-4, 1 NC), who is coming off a loss to Dustin Poirier at the TUF Nations finale in April. But had previously won his first three bouts in the UFC coming off TUF 14—defeating Andy Ogle, Robbie Peralta, and Maximo Blanco.

UFC Fight Night Stockholm held at the Ericsson Globe Arena is headlined by a welterweight bout between Gunnar Nelson and Rick Story.
