Josh Barnett in Talks With Strikeforce

Strikeforce continues to make themselves a serious mixed martial arts promotion. They have been going after the top free-agents, and often have come out successful. Yesterday, it was reported Roger Huerta is in talks with the organization and he expects to have his next fight for the San Jose based promotion. Strikeforce now has a new target in top heavyweight Josh Barnett. Barnett (24-5) hasn’t fought since January of ’09. He was scheduled to face Fedor Emelianenko — also a newer Strikeforce addition — however, he tested positive for steroids and the event was scrapped. A potential match with Fedor [...]
