Dana White just used the three strikes and you’re out policy to cut ties with welterweight/middleweight fighter Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. The question now isn’t whether or not Johnson can compete in the UFC, but can he keep his weight under control. He has missed weight three times in his career, twice at 171 pounds and most recently missing by 12 pounds for his middleweight bout with Vitor Belfort. What a way to start off the new year. Anthony Johnson injured; out of UFC on Versus bout with John Howard

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (8-3) was scheduled to be on the first UFC on Versus card. Unfortunately, Johnson was forced to withdraw from his bout with John “Doomsday” Howard (13-4) due to a knee injury. Pro MMA Now was the first to report the injury. The news has since been confirmed by Johnson’s manager. This was a fight that was supposed to go down when Howard was a UFC newcomer.
