It’s safe to say the UFC’s inaugural trip to Sweden was a success. We had great fights and the fans were extremely engaged in the fights. If anything was learned from the event it’s that Alexander Gustafsson is a contender. He managed to use his range to pick apart the tough Thiago Silva and was even able to connect on a few shots to knock down Silva. The second event from the Super Fight League took place this morning in India and while it was a card of many unknown fighters there were a couple big name fighters on the card. Former UFC veteran Paul Kelly fought early in the card against Ryan Healy. While many would have predicted Kelly being the winner, I picked him, Healy came out victorious. India’s first and largest professional MMA organization hosts its second event April 7. It can be viewed on youtube and does feature some solid fights. On the card are two former UFC fighters, Paul Kelly and Todd Duffee. Fight fans know Duffee as the man who once held the fastest knockout in UFC history in his UFC debut. On May 19, 2012 after more than a year of wait we get the end of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix.
