‘Strikeforce/M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Werdum’ predictions

Strikeforce invades the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California tonight for an event live on Showtime. “Strikeforce: Los Angeles” is headlined by a catchweight bout between Robbie Lawler and Renato “Babalu” Sobral. Also on the card is Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos vs. Marius Zaramoskis, Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Prangley, and Conor Heun vs. K.J. Noons.
Heavyweight prospect Bobby Lashley was originally slated to be a part of the card, but he was forced to withdraw due to injury.

One of Strikeforce’s top lightweight prospects, Lyle “Fancy Pants” Beerbohm, advanced his record to an impressive 14-0 at this past weekend’s ‘Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery’ event.
Fancy Pants earned a split decision win over Shaolin Ribeiro (20-4). The decision was very controversial, but due to poor production and time management by the Strikeforce organization fans were not able to see the fight. The fight was not even available on the Strikeforce website.

Strikeforce women’s middleweight champion Cris Cyborg learned that her next title defense would be against veteran fighter Jan Finney at a June 26th event in San Jose, California that is being co-promoted by Strikeforce and M-1 Global.
The news was first confirmed by a report on MMAJunkie.com.
Cyborg (9-1) has not tasted defeat since she dropped her MMA debut in 2005. Since entering Strikeforce, Cyborg has dominated her competition — winning all three fights in the organization by way of TKO.

Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery preview and predictions

The Strikeforce organization showcases the heavyweights tonight at the Scottrade Center  in St. Louis, Missouri. ‘Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery’ will be broadcast live on Showtime and features a heavyweight title fight between champion Alistair Overeem and Brett Rogers.
Overeem (32-11, 1 NC) has not tasted defeat since September of 2007, while the challenger Rogers (10-1) is coming off of the first loss of his career after being knocked out by top-ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko.
