Bobby Lashley signs with Strikeforce

Strikeforce has made yet another splash in the mixed martial arts world. The organization has signed former former-WWE champion and hot prospect Bobby Lashley (4-0) to a multi-fight deal. Lashley adds to the talent pool in Strikeforce’s heavyweight division. Lashley is expected to make his promotional debut on January 30 as part of the “Strikeforce: Miami” card. Lashley joins Strikeforce stars Nick Diaz, Jay Heiron, Christiane Cyborg, and newly-signed Herschel Walker on the “Strikeforce: Miami” card. None of the fighters have received word on their opponent. Strikeforce joins Zuffa in ban of Hoelzer Reich

Yesterday the controversial clothing company Hoelzer Reich was added to the Zuffa banned sponsors list. Strikeforce quickly followed and will now not allow the clothing to be worn in their organization. According to a MMAWeekly.com report: Shinya Aoki could make his Strikeforce debut in March, according to the San Jose, Calif.-based promotion’s CEO. Jeff Monson has not yet signed with Strikeforce

There have been multiple reports that Jeff “The Snowman” Monson (31-9) has signed with the Strikeforce organization. However, these reports are false. Jeff Monson is currently scheduled to fight at an event called “Alabama Pride” which takes place this Saturday against MMA vet Travis Fulton (191-45-11).
