The UFC held the press conference for Silva-Sonnen II Tuesday and made an announcement that made everyone, including Sonnen, even if he won’t admit it, feel a little safer. Sonnen will no longer fight Silva in Brazil due to scheduling conflicts and the fight will instead take place in Las Vegas July, 7. While Sonnen won’t admit it there was legitimate fear for his life if the fight were to take place in Brazil. He has constantly ripped on the country, its fighters and people.   UFC on Fox 2 takes place tomorrow in Chicago with a great card for fans all over. There are two No. 1 contender bouts and the card is good enough to be a pay per view with the names of Sonnen, Bisping and Evans on it. Here are the main card predictions for tonight’s fights.

After yesterday’s hearing involving the California State Athletic Commission and Chael Sonnen, the ruling was that the CSAC was going to uphold Sonnen’s indefinite suspension. Chael Sonnen has defied all of the odds. Not only did he give UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva the toughest fight in recent memory and then go on to test positive for a banned substance, but Sonnen managed to get his year-long suspension cut in half with some brilliant politicking and a cast full of interesting representitives. UFC middleweight contender Chael Sonnen will be appealing his year-long suspension in front of the California State Athletic Commission today. Sonnen tested positive for elevated testosterone levels following his fight at UFC 117 with Anderson Silva.
