Diaz Shows He Still Doesn’t Get It

AUTHOR: | IN: MMA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Nick Diaz was supposed to fight Braulio Estima in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Superfight Saturday, but did not show up. This is just another joke in the career of Nick Diaz. He has shown a constant lack of professionalism throughout his MMA career and now it seems he has brought that over to jiu-jitsu. This was a fight fans were looking forward to. It wasn’t just jiu-jitsu fans, but MMA fans and Diaz fans. The fact that he didn’t show up again shows that he doesn’t get it. He was already suspended for a year from MMA due to a failed [...]

When Zuffa bought out Strikeforce and took control of the company it was assumed it would absorb into the UFC, it’s still currently a separate promotion, but looks like it will be absorbed soon. The question is looking back though could it have competed with the UFC? Strikeforce had a television deal with Showtime and was even shown on CBS although that ended in a brawl and ultimately spelled their cable demise. It had stars like Dan Henderson, Allistair Overeem, Fedor Emelianenko, Gilbert Melendez and Jake Shields. There was the personalities of Nick Diaz and Mayhem Miller and was a [...]

Quote of the Day: Urijah Faber Thinks Nick Diaz Would Beat GSP

AUTHOR: | IN: MMA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Urijah Faber: “I’m going to go with Nick Diaz on that one, just because I don’t see GSP knocking him out. He’s never been knocked out and GSP’s been more into wrestling guys. I think that from watching Diaz, he’s super, super deceiving, and is able to pressure guys and make them get tired and fatigued like no one else. It’s constant pressure, and he’s got that persistent punching style that wears guys down.” SOURCE: FiveKnuckles.com

Paul Daley: I Am Going To Knock Diaz Out Within Three Rounds

AUTHOR: | IN: MMA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Paul Daley was interviewed by The MMA Digest and delivered some brilliant sound bites as usual. One of the most notable statements from the interview was Daley’s guarantee that he will knock Nick Diaz out in their upcoming fight. “I’m going to knock him out within three rounds. I think he’s going to have difficulty clinching me, going to have difficulty taking me down, shooting from the outside. And he’s going to have difficulty dealing with my power and speed, whether it be punches, or kicks or elbows or whatever. “I’ve always had a strong left and I’ve just been [...]
