Tyron Woodley is expected to take the place of injured Evangalist ‘Cyborg’ Santos against Paul Daley. The fight, which is slated for July 30th, and could be for a chance to fight for the vacated Strikeforce Welterweight Championship. Daley last for fought for the title against Nick Diaz, while Woodley will take an undefeated 8 – 0 record into the fight. The fight was first reported by MMAJunkie.com and will air live on Showtime with the main event being the Heavyweight bout between Fedor Emelianenko taking on Light Heavyweight champion Dan Henderson.

It appears that Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos has suffered a shoulder injury in training and will be forced to withdraw from his scheduled July 30th bout against British slugger Paul Daley, sources close to Cyborg’s camp told MMAprime.tv.

The fight, which was scheduled for “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson,” surely would have provided fireworks and the winner would have been one step closer to claiming the Strikeforce welterweight title which was vacated by Nick Diaz — the last man to defeat both Daley and Cyborg.

“Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson” will take place at Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. There is no word if Daley will remain on the card and be given a new opponent.
