UFC 214: Cris Cyborg Announces Fight With Germaine de Randamie
The UFC card being held on July 29th just got its first announced fight… Well kind of.
Former Invicta FC champion and current UFC featherweight top contender Cris Cyborg dropped a bombshell on fans across the world on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian phenom announced via her Instagram that she will be fighting current UFC women’s champion Germaine de Randamie in California on July 29 at UFC 214.
This would mark Cyborg’s first promotional bout outside of her native Brazil. UFC officials have yet to comment on whether or not the fight is 100% official.

After serving a brief suspension for testing positive for Spironolactone (diuretic) for which she was later granted a retroactive therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for, Cris Cyborg is ready to challenge for UFC gold, even if it is not against Ronda Rousey.
Cyborg currently 2-0 in the UFC has smashed both Lina Lansberg and Leslie Smith and will be looking to add de Randamie’s name to her win streak which dates back to 2005.
De Randamie is coming off of her title win over Holly Holm back in February, which marked her third straight victory. A fight that would very much be a striker vs. striker match-up, it would be a big addition to the Californian card.
While nothing may be official the thought of this fight and the potential of having Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier on the card too, UFC 214 may be one to remember.
