The UFC hits Auckland on Sunday for a FOX Sports 1 Fight Night event. There is no denying that the card is at the bottom end of the UFC’s multi-tiered quality of events, but that shouldn’t stop you tuning in.

On Sunday the UFC return to Auckland with a 12 fight card headlined by heavy-handed juggernauts Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt. It is the second time the UFC have promoted an event in New Zealand.

Due to the difference in time zone, the event will air on Saturday night in the United States in the UFC’s regular timeslot.

It is an event packed with fighters from across the region and a handful of talents who are better known to UFC audiences.

While the main card might not have the quality of some of the UFC’s larger events, the promotion has gone for quantity with six bouts crammed into the business end of the event.

If you are still unsure whether UFC Auckland is worth your time, we have a few highlights to pique your interest.
