UFC 216: Tony Ferguson vs. Kevin Lee remains main event

The lightweight title fight between Kevin Lee and Tony Ferguson will remain the main event of UFC 216.

The interim lightweight title fight between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee is set to remain the main event of UFC 216 even after the flyweight championship fight between Demetrious Johnson and Ray Borg was added to the event.

The UFC updated the official bout order for the Oct. 7 event on Monday where the next opponent for lightweight champion Conor McGregor will be made clear.

Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson was scheduled to face Ray Borg at UFC 215 but the fight was called off due to Borg pulling out due to illness. Promotional officials acted fast and added the fight to the Oct. 7 event.

Johnson will be looking to break the UFC record for most consecutive title defenses with his 11th straight win. He is currently tied with Anderson Silva who defended his middleweight belt 10 times during his amazing run.

The event will now have 13 fights for fans to enjoy. The full card can be found below.
